The Carolina Center for Group & Family Therapy, PLLC proudly announces that Peter Nagel is offering post-graduate training and clinical supervision. This training & supervision focuses on developing, supporting and expanding the psychotherapy skills of the therapist. Clinicians who are interested in improving their therapy skills with adult individuals, couples, families, and/or groups are invited to schedule a free initial interview by contacting Mr. Nagel at either (910) 235-0900 or (336) 626-5989. The training group will consist of a minimum of six (6) to seven (7) therapists and will meet on a monthly basis from February 2009 to June 2009. Attendees are recommended to bring audio or videotapes of therapeutic sessions for clinical supervision and peer review. The consultation group will be guided to create a safe environment while promoting professional development. The monthly training dates are scheduled on Fridays from 9am to 6pm with time for lunch & breaks. The tuition is $600. for each semester with $120. deposit upon registration after initial interview and the balance payable in four (4) equal monthly installments.
A typical day of training will be organized approximately as outlined:
9:00 - 9:15 am Check-in & announcements
9:15 - 10:30 am Training Presentation (see monthly training topics below)
10:30 - 10:45 am BREAK
10:45 - 12:15 pm Supervision of case presentation or consultation, etc.
12:15 - 1:45 pm LUNCH
1:45 - 3:00 pm Training Presentation (see monthly training topics below)
3:00 - 3:15 pm BREAK
3:15 - 4:15 pm Live supervision of recorded training session
4:15 - 5:30 pm Supervision of case presentation, consultation, etc.
5:30 - 6:00 pm Wrap-up
Peter Nagel is licensed in North Carolina as a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist. Peter is also certified in North Carolina as a Clinical Addictions Supervisor. He is recognized as a Clinical Member and supervisor in training of the American Association for Marriage & Family Therapy and Clinical Member of the American Group Psychotherapy Association as well as a Certified Group Psychotherapist with the National Registry of Certied Group Psychotherapists. He is also a Regular Member of the International Transactional Analysis Association.
Mr. Nagel has completed post-graduate training at The Southeast Institute for Group & Family Therapy with Vann Joines, PhD, LMFT in Redecision Therapy, Personality Adaptations and Personality Disorders. Peter has contracted with Dr. Joines for mentoring of his supervision. Mr. Nagel has presented workshops to professional organizations across North Carolina on topics such as Developmental Couples Therapy, The Role of the Group Leader, Counseling Hostile-Dependent Couples, Using Personality to Guide Psychotherapy and Helping Clients to Reclaim Integrity after Infidelity.
